Fill out Player Roster (PlayerFocus)


Fill out your roster as soon as possible after you Edit your team.

It is important that the roster is in place before you create your first game. This will ensure that every player and parent will get the automatic match result emails. Only players with jersey numbers will receive personalized results.

Add a new player

  1. Log in to your Trace account.

  2. In the top left, tap the hamburger menu and select your team, then choose the roster tab.

  3. Tap "Add a player."

  4. Add the player's jersey number.

  5. Add the player or parent's email (required)

    Note: If you are the Equipment Subscriber or a Manager on the Team, you can't use your email for the Player. You'll need to use a unique email to add your Player. You can use your email address to add yourself as a Family member. If your Player doesn't have an email, we recommend using an alias email of yours (i.e. chris+jonny@gmail.com)

  6. Add the player's name (required) and phone number (not required but helpful if they want to get game alerts via text). Tap Save.

  7. Continue to add the rest of your roster.

  8. Each player or parent will get an invite to the roster, and will have the ability to manage their family's contact info and emails.

If you do not have a player email at the time of creating your roster, we recommend using the parent's email. The email recipient will receive an invite to join the roster, and will be able to manage the family structure and email addresses.

Adding Goalkeepers

  1. Open the player edit options:

    • Desktop: Hover on the three dots to the right of the player name

    • Mobile: tap on the player

  2. Choose "Edit contact info"

  3. Check the "I am the goalkeeper" box

Adding family member

  1. Open the player edit options:

    • Desktop: Hover on the three dots to the right of the player name

    • Mobile: tap on the player

  2. Choose "Add a family member".

  3. Add an email for their family member, then their name (required) and phone number (optional).

Removing Players

  1. Open the player edit options:

    • Desktop: Hover on the three dots to the right of the player name

    • Mobile: tap on the player

  2. Choose "Remove player".

  3. Confirm you want to archive this player.

Show and add archived players

  1. Check the "Show archived" box

  2. Open the player edit options:

    • Desktop: Hover on the three dots to the right of the player name

    • Mobile: tap on the player

  3. Tap "Un-archive"

What happens to archived or restored players?

  1. Archived players will continue to have access to previous games, as long as they are still associated with an active subscription.

  2. They will not receive links to any new games the team they were removed from plays and will not see them in their game results.

  3. If they are removed from a team, but are on other teams in the club, they will continue to see results links for any team where they are active on the roster.

  4. If you restore an archived player to a team, they will have access to all of that team's games, not just the ones they played on.
