Mounting Trace on Your Equipment

Last Updated: Mar 31, 2014 12:59AM EDT

When applying the mount to your snowboard, it's best to place the mount close to your bindings to avoid and protect it from other skiers and snowboarders, as well as foreign objects on the trail. The picture below shows two ways in which you can apply the mount on your board. Make sure that the arrows are pointing back towards the bindings. This way you can ensure that there's enough room to slide Trace in and out of the mount.

1. Clean the board where you'll be applying the mount with a cloth and rubbing alcohol to make sure there's no dirt or residue on the board.

2. Peel back the red, 3M tape on the mount.

3. Firmly apply the mount and make sure to press down on all of the edges. Don't be afraid to use too much force. Press down hard.

4. Wait 24 hours to make sure the mount has adhered properly.
